Mark Bridger was born at the War Memorial Hospital in Carshalton, Surrey on 6 November 1965. He lived at the time in a cul-de-sac of 1930s semi-detached houses opposite Bandon Hill cemetery in nearby Wallington. His father, Graham Bridger was a policeman.
