When he disappeared, Lee was 5ft 6in (1.67m), slim with light brown hair and was wearing black jeans, a white Flintstones T-shirt and brown suede shoes.

On the Saturday morning of 10th September 1988, his father, Peter Boxell asked Lee on what he was going to do that day. He said that he might go to see a football match. His favourite team, Sutton United was playing away at Lancashire though he didn’t want to travel that far to watch them play. Lee gave his friend who was going on the coach, money to buy him the Chorley magazine on the match.

Lee Boxell left his house to meet up with another friend at 11am in Sutton High Street. They looked around the shops and his friend didn’t want to go to a football match so parted ways about 1pm that day.

Two children claimed to have seen him at 2:20pm outside Tesco at the time, now an Asda store.

The police originally believed that Lee had been planning to go to a football match.

The main news story on the day Lee disappeared was a helicopter crash involving Mike Smith and Sarah Greene near Cheltenham at about 11.30am.

Last seen in Sutton High Street, South London.

There has been speculation that Lee Boxell could have gone to the shed though it seems that no one actually saw him there although Lambert claimed that he knew him. The Police did a forensic search of some parts of St. Dunstan’s Church graveyard but did not disturb any of the graves.

William Lambert claimed he was a Warlock.
