Kirsa Jensen went missing on 1 September 1983 from Napier, New Zealand. At about 3pm, Kirsa took her horse for a ride along the local beach. The last confirmed sighting of Kirsa was close to an old World War Two gun emplacement near the Takakura River. Her face had blood on it and was seen speaking to man in a white utility vehicle. She was also seen being held at arms length by a European man about 1.8 metres in height and around 45 – 50 years old. When Kirsa didn’t return home from her horse ride, her family decided to search for her. They contacted the police and the horse was found. Searches from police and volunteers looked in the local river and waterways but couldn’t find her whereabouts.

She was born 15 December 1968. Kirsa Jensen attended William Colenso High School in Napier. The School was named after William Colenso. See Battle of Colenso – 15 December 1899 (where he died following a fall from a horse).
